Grace Johansson test shots: Pan

1st attempt medium long shot:
- The pan was a little bit slow, and the tilt downwards and upwards was not evident in the clip. This meant that it was not a smooth pan and tilt and it was not successful.The shot size was the right size for a medium long shot and it cut off around the knees which is the right framing.

2nd attempt medium long shot:
- The tilt was a lot more successful the second time around, the pan and tilt were still a little bit too slow which is what made it less successful, however it was a lot better than the first attempt.The framing was right for this attempt and it was not long enough to be a long shot and it cut off in the right place for it to be a medium long shot.

3rd attempt medium long shot:
- This attempt was the best one, the pan was smooth and it was at a faster pace so I was following along with Suzie better. The tilt was more successful as I kept in time better with Suzie's movements. In this shot Suzie was framed correctly as the shot cut off just below her knees and there was some space above her head.

4th attempt medium long shot:
- This was not a successful attempt at a medium long shot as it was not quick enough at following Toms's movements, also the tilt cut off his head when he sat and stood up. The framing for this medium long shot was not very well done as there was too much space above the head and it was too far away.

1st attempt medium shot:
- This medium shot attempt was not good, the pan was quite slow even though it matched the movements of Suzie and the tilt cut off her head when she sat down and stood up again. Even though the pan and tilt did not turn out great in this attempt, the framing was correct and cut off at the waist

2nd attempt medium shot:
- This was a little bit too jerky, it was hard to keep pace with Tom's movements as of his walking pace, however the sitting and standing up was better for the tilt. The framing was not good for this medium shot as the cut off point was not at the waist but below that which is too long to be a medium shot.

1st attempt close - up shot;
- The close - up shot was definitely the most difficult shot for me to film. The pan was alright for the close - up as it is easier to keep the camera on the face without cutting off the head. However, the pan cut off Tom's head hugely which is not a good thing in a tilt as that is not how it is meant to look. The framing for this close - up was quite good, however there could have been a little less room above the head.

2nd attempt close - up shot:
- This second attempt at the close - up shot is still okay on the pan, yet I still cut off the head in the tilt as Tom sat down faster than I could tilt and then the tilt went jerky on my behalf by accident. The framing was mediocre as it wasn't bad but it wasn't good.

3rd attempt close - up shot:
- This was definitely the best attempt at a close - up shot as the pan still turned out relatively well, and the tilt downwards did not cut off Tom's head completely, the bad thing was that on the upwards tilt it did cut off Tom's head slightly. The framing yet again is good as it cuts off at the shoulders but there is still a little bit too much room above his head.
