White Balance Test Evaluation

The different modes of white balance work differently depending on the setting and there are significant differences between the 4 modes of white balance. In an interior setting, the auto and manual white balance settings were the best colour matches, although the manual white balance was best as you were able to set the colour yourself. The daylight setting was too orange to use in an interior setting, unless it was a necessary effect I would not use this white balance setting inside a building. The Tungsten white balance setting gave the room a blue tint, this could be used to create a depressing or sad tone for a film, however, I don't believe it would be necessary to use in my intro. For the exterior shots, the daylight setting was less orange, and gave a softer light setting, but again, the auto and manual white balance settings gave a brighter white lighting filter and were clearer when filming. The exterior Tungsten shot was very blue and I do not believe it would be a good setting to use in my intro for my Social Realism film. The manual white balance setting would be my choice of setting because you are able to set the colouring yourself.
